If your warranty was from a box store like Best Buy, and you saw a phone number at a site, that number was the scam. I know- it SEEMS like it must have been the Toshiba support people but it was not. You've had several threads with some pretty heavy malware removal and the appearance of the 'Tech Center' is most likely related to some new, or leftover, malware. and ads can be hacked onto websites or appear to be part of sites when some adware or spyware is the real culprit. Most websites have little or no control over ads that may display on their sites. That tech center is definitely not part or party of the real Toshiba site and in no way sponsored or associated with them.
